Maitreya Buddha Silk Painting Art
Maitreya Buddha, is one of the important Buddhas in Buddhism. He is a prophet of the Buddha and is respectfully called the "Buddha of the Future" or the "Buddha of Compassion." The image of Maitreya Buddha is often depicted as a monk with kind eyes and a pleasant smile. He wears a monk's robe and holds spiritual instruments such as a lotus flower or a precious staff, symbolizing wisdom and compassion. His seated pose is mostly in the lotus position, with his legs crossed and seated, exhibiting dignity and majesty. In Buddhist faith, Maitreya Buddha is the reliance and hope for sentient beings in distress, and his belief also signifies people's longing and pursuit of a better life in the future.
This is an original Asian silk painting art, not a print, that was produced in the 1980s and 1990s by painters from Suzhou, China. Using silk as their canvas, the artists skillfully captured the Song dynasty style of Chinese watercolor paintings.
Because these paintings are all handicrafts, works with the same theme may have different layout and colors. Also because of limitations in imaging and photography equipment, the image may have subtle color differences from the actual product.
